Czech or Dutch? You can have both

A master’s degree in European Governance organised by Masaryk University’s Faculty of Social Studies and Utrecht University’s Faculty of Law allows you to explore diverse environments of both schools situated in lively European metropolises which you will be able to live in for a year each – the first one in Brno, Czech Republic and the second in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Who rules the continent

Besides the opportunity to live in both European cities within one programme, you will learn all there is to know about the governance in Europe, including economics, public administration, political science, and law, attending lectures by both schools.

You will gain not only new knowledge but also new skills and abilities through case studies, simulations, and practical, policy-oriented projects. Like that, you will not only become an expert on research but also the ability to see problems from different perspectives and solve them creatively and efficiently.

Graduate profile: Set the policies that matter

Mastering the field of European governance and integration, politics, economics, law, and administration, all that combined with your international experience in two diverse countries, makes you a suitable candidate for a myriad of positions in local, regional, and national governments, the EU institutions, NGOs, consultancy firms, and private or public organisations where you can create policies, manage, govern projects, or conduct your own research.

Admission

The programme is suitable for you if you have prior education in social sciences or humanities, as well as a good command of the English language. Upon application (submitted via Utrecht University), you will need to provide the admission office with a number of documents, including your statement of purpose highlighting your motivation to study the programme, a CV, academic records, and so on.
