Face the challenges of today and tomorrow

The interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree in Global Challenges: Society, Politics, Environment tackles political, social, and environmental topics in a holistic fashion, preparing you for solving the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Thanks to this approach, you will learn how to address the global challenges on all levels, see the connections among the seemingly unrelated areas, and explore the fields of political science, social anthropology, environmental science, and sociology.

The 3-year bachelor’s programme has been prepared jointly by the Department of Sociology, the Department of Political Sciences, and the Department of Environmental Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University.

Graduate profile: world full of possibilities

Graduating from the programme, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for further studies at the master's level. Besides that, the acquired abilities including analytical work, data collection, project management, information interpretation and communication, and teamwork make them fit for many fields of professional work, such as governmental agencies, non-profit organisations, private companies, and more.

Admission

The admission procedure for the bachelor-level programmes at the Masaryk’s Faculty of Social Studies requires submission of the e-application, proof of English language, and online entrance exam. Multiple dates throughout the admission period are provided, however students can only take the exam once.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to come to Brno for your admission procedure. The Czech Republic will be waiting for you to start your new adventure after admission.
